About the FGSA
Established in 2007 by Andrew Clifton, Logan Hoffman, and the Fair Grove Park Board, the FGSA holds a Spring and Fall co-ed recreational league for all youth between the ages of 3-18 that plays and practices in Fair Grove. Since the FGSA's initial season in Fall 2007, the club has grown both in numbers and in its commitment to the expansion of the game within the Fair Grove community.
The FGSA takes a unique approach to teaching the game by bringing in elite athletes to coach the players in an academy setting where they are exposed to the game's core fundamentals in a highly personalized setting. All FGSA coaches are current or former Drury University soccer players who have undergone age group specific training to maximize the players' experience.
Fall 2008 saw the FGSA's commitment to the game blossom. With the construction of a full size soccer field in Fair Grove City Park thanks to the efforts of the Park Board.
In 2009 the FGSA put together the first competitive soccer team ever to call Fair Grove home, playing against competition from around Southwest Missouri. With three new competitive teams slated to begin play in 2010, the Fair Grove Soccer Academy continues to provide a unique opportunity for boys and girls of all ages to experience the world's game.
