FGSA'S Competitive Model
Since the club's inception in 2007, It has been the vision of the Fair Grove Soccer Academy to expand its programming to offer players a chance to compete at the highest levels available.
Thanks in part to a partnership with the Fair Grove Park Board, The Fair Grove Soccer Academy's first competitive team began play in Lake Country Soccer's outdoor league in August 2009, and the FGSA is slated to add three more competitive teams to the mix in 2010, including the club's first girls competitive team.
The FGSA takes a unique approach to teaching the game by bringing in elite athletes to coach the players in an academy setting where they are exposed to the game's core fundamentals in a highly personalized setting. All FGSA coaches are current or former Drury University soccer players who have undergone age group specific training to maximize the players' experience.
The competitive program, however, takes this model one step further, offering players a chance to continually improve their game through constant training and playing opportunities against the best competition Southwest Missouri has to offer.
Weekly training sessions and games are conducted and supervised by the FGSA staff, where dedicated players can benefit from a more structured atmosphere, giving players who want to take their game to the next level an opportunity to do so.
