Passback Program
Sharing the World's Game
The Passback Program was started by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) to help players, coaches, and parents become more involved in the game of soccer and allow them to give back to the soccer community. The FGSA became an active member of this program starting in the Fall 2009 season.
The idea behind Passback is simple: To provide an opportunity for players and families to pass on new and gently used gear to others in need in their community, their nation, and their world so that players who would not otherwise be able to play have an opportunity to do so.
In 2009 the FGSA began collecting new and gently used gear from members of our community so that players who could not afford cleats, shinguards, and other equipment could still have access to the game. The FGSA is scheduleed to recieve our first shipment of gear from the USSF in spring 2010, and hopes to ship our first box of gear from Fair Grove to be shared nationally and internationally by the end of 2010.
