FGSA'S Recreational Model
In a partnership with the Fair Grove Parks District, The Fair Grove Soccer Academy runs spring and fall recreational soccer leagues for Fair Grove and the surrounding communities.
The FGSA takes a unique approach to teaching the game by bringing in elite athletes to coach the players in an academy setting where they are exposed to the game's core fundamentals in a highly personalized setting. All FGSA coaches are current or former Drury University soccer players who have undergone age group specific training to maximize the players' experience.
Weekly training sessions are conducted by the FGSA staff while Saturday games are run with the help of parent coaches who oversee each team and provide positive encouragement to the players. This ensures that each week the players get the highest quality learning experience while also keeping parents involved and learning right along with their kids.
Why Choose the FGSA?
It's AFFORDABLE - At just $25 a season for our recreational leagues, which includes experienced coaches from Drury University and end of season trophies, FGSA can fit any family's budget. Thanks to its partnership with the Fair Grove Park Board, FGSA even offers scholarships to families who can't afford to play otherwise.
It's LOCAL - With all practices and games in Fair Grove, parents don't have to worry about hauling their children all around Missouri. We're just right down the street!
It's ACTIVE - Soccer is a sport that can be fun for people of all ages and can be extremely helpful in the development of young bodies and minds. Soccer helps to develop coordination while teaching social skills and critical thinking capabilities - all skills your child can use for the rest of his or her life!
It's FUN - FGSA coaches are specially trained to work with specific age groups, meaning that your son or daughter's coach will know just how to motivate them through entertaining and educational activities.
Interested in Volunteering?
The FGSA is always looking for dedicated parent volunteers, without whom the recreational league would not exist. If you are interested, please contact Logan Hoffman, program director, at 303-921-1726 or lhoffman@fairgrovesoccer.com.
